Tiber Street Community Building

Jordan Biggs

Reds Joinery is honoured to participate in the Tiber Street refurbishment project. This renovation entailed the addition of a second story to an existing single-story structure. Reds' contributions included the implementation of a sophisticated cladding detail that enveloped the second story. Furthermore, we installed new fire-rated doors, timber skirtings, kitchens, worktops, and additional features. Reds are proud to be able to complete this package on behalf of our esteemed client Krol Corlett.

The Tiber Community Building is a registered charity located in L8, dedicated to securing rights to vacant buildings and spaces within the area, and renovating them for productive community use. This initiative involves the renewal and refurbishment of derelict plots, ultimately benefiting local residents by creating accessible, state-of-the-art amenities that serve as positive benchmarks for the community.

The charity is overseen by members of the Tiber Young People’s Steering Group (TYPSG), which comprises young individuals aged 14 to 18 from the local area. Their involvement fosters a constructive connection between young people and the community, equipping them with a comprehensive skill set that encompasses leadership and enterprise skills, along with valuable knowledge and experience. This initiative encourages them to serve as positive role models for others within the community.

The project has gained much attention recently due to a visit from our future King, Prince William as well as Liverpool Fc's own King Kenny Dalglish. See recent photos below.
